Vehicles Lettering

Means of communication in the road transport 
Costs incurred for adding logos on vehicles is only justified when it is certain that the vehicle represents a relevant means of communication. If the decision to use lettering is made, the first step is to apply the BASF logo on the driver and passenger side doors. 

Only after these logos are placed, further lettering can be applied to the back of the vehicle. 

Railway vehicles (including tank cars and locomotives) and road vehicles used to transport hazardous materials must not bear the logo or any other indication of BASF.

In case of a lettering on a vehicle, the general rules for print media are applied (BASF logo, logo bar and typeface).

 

Usage of logo

Size of the logo

  • On vehicles weighing less than 7.5 tons, the logo appears in a width of 450 mm on the driver and passenger door. 
  • On vehicles weighing more than 7.5 tons, the logo appears in a width of 500 mm on the driver and passenger door.

Color of the logo

The color of the BASF logo is either white or black. Select the option that provides the greatest possible contrast to the background color.

Other lettering

Use the BASF logo on the driver and passenger doors only. If additional messages e.g. the name of the plant is to be communicated, you may do so on the back doors or on the chassis behind the passenger door.
